KENYA: Complete Banknotes Set ( 2018) UNC


 The Central Bank of Kenya (CBK - www.centralbank.go.ke) issued its new family banknotes in 2018. These are new generation banknotes following promulgation of new Constitution which ushered hope for newly reborn and prosperous Kenya.

The Central Bank adopted concepts to symbolises the drivers of prosperous Kenya. The set includes five denominations that is 50, 100, 200, 500 and 1000 Shillings. These are paper money banknotes with enhanced security features. The front of the banknotes bear the image of Kenyatta International Conference Center, the most known Iconic landmark in Nairobi, Kenya. A dove is also shown as a symbol of peaceful nation.

The image on the back of the banknotes have different themes on each denomination. The 50 Shillings has Green Energy, while 100 Shillings has agriculture, 200 Shillings shows various Social Services in the country, 500 shillings focus on tourism and the 1000 Shillings shows governance.
