Newly issued banknotes by the Central Bank of Mozambique ( Banco de Mozambique). These banknotes were issued in 2024. It consist of Polymer and Paper Money. The set includes 20, 50, 100, 200, 500 and 1,000 Meticals. The polymer banknotes are in the denomination of 20, 50 and 100 Meticals. The front of the banknote shows the founder president of Mozambique, Mr. Samora Machel. While the back part of the banknotes shows the rich cultural, wild life and economic activities in Mozambique.
